In every Individual, there is a force more powerful, more mysterious than the inner workings of the Universe. Shaped by thought, fuelled by emotions, forged by life, touched by spirit and loved by love itself, it is the everlasting gift called Imagination...

Suvon is the name of a World that I am currently working on in hopes of sharing with other fiction writers. It's a project that has taken me quite a while. Right now, I am on a slow process at the first book, a King's Heir.

Xfresh Archive: My Experience on the Xfresh Gathering @ Mid Valley

Location: Unitar workstation, pc 208
Mood-of-the-day: Customer service SUCKS!!

I'm doing all this very fast since I couldn't login this morning. My school had a staff meeting so nobody is left to take charge of the workstation. So they just kept the stupid, f***ing yet most important place I needed at this very moment CLOSED! (sorry need to get it outta my system) The least they could have done was give us students in hyper-exams-adrenaline was some warning so we could have run to the nearest cyber cafe.

So how was the gathering yesterday? Well, I'm not the one who would be writing the full report (unless I'm paid to do so, don't we all wish?) so I'll give it from my POV.

I did the usual Thursday no-school-day chores up to the minute when I pick-up and drop off my lil' bro and the neighbour's kid home. Then at 1.40pm, I left for Kelana Jaya LRT. And due to my road inexperience, I was caught at the lunch-hour traffic.

The ride to Bangar took longer than I expected. To pass the time, I ran a few details in my head. The guys had asked bloggers to get up and present something original. I was running through my head between the True Ghost Story of Bukit Cahaya and a fictional account of the Frog Curse.

Actually, I should have just taken the Proton and drive straight to Mid Valley, but the paranoia of getting lost from the NSC Gathering experience still haunted me. And I hated to spen money on a parking ticket, especially on the opening day of I, Robot. It wasn't hard to find the group. I just had to find the noisiest part of the Mall.

Familiar and unfamiliar faces mingle together.
Some words of wisdom as we (pretend to) listen...

Shaz on stage, welcoming us to the gathering.
"Fellows! Xfreshers! Starbucks gatherers! Lend me your ears..."

I found them having an ice-breaking session. I saw Shaz first (actually, I bet everybody would have seen Shaz before any other people, which accounts on why he arrive late too).

After I introduced myself, I was sure nobody would forget my name because it's too damn simple. But every time, the crew would call Liza with a question mark end. No my name is Wiza. Last week it was Niza. Next week, it'll be Pizza.

Everybody did Charades and nobody gets left out (mainly since they're only about 20 or so of us there, no points for guessing why :P). I was sooo blur on what to do that I was given 3 or so tries before I gave them the Spiderman (how do you charade 'to kill a mocking bird' anyway?).

Shaz, on the other hand, kept pointing to himself and made round gestures at his stomach. It took a while before somebody figured out it was Ronald Dahl's The BFG. Everybody else kept insisting Shaz was doing Junior.

TJ's turn to charade!
"Er, Barney the Purple Dinosaur? Pua Chu Kang?"

Erm, a hole? A finger? Hey, do better! The other team's winning!
Members trying to figure out what the heck the charaders were trying to describe.

We got mixed up between a birthday and a farewell song.
Wording Farewell for Corinne and Eileen!

Corinne and Eileen passing out the cake.
"Ele... so small! Is this a diet party?"

And then comes the cake! Everybody got home with something (or rather, something that was dug out from the back of the Xfresh skeleton cupboard during their once-in-a-blue-moon-on-a-Sunday-in-a-leap-year annual declutterization).

There were only two tumblers left. Elena maintained her insistent right to owning a tumbler as proof of her hard labour for her very stingy boss (well, I think that's how she said it :P). Since there's 4 of us, Shaz got us competing. I had frozen in confusion (not I wasn't scared, no, really, I swear...) so Dusty got the tumbler.

But I got it from him from trading it with his own Rasmus CD I had stolen from him (sorry again, Will! At least, I think it was Will. It could have been Dustyhawk, laa~ can't remember...). Elena and Mus (not to be confused with musk, moose or zufar_s :P) did a scavenger hunt, which Elena finally got her trophy. I supposed that her next hunt would be the Xsurfer's car or something... :P

Showing off our digital cameras.
Shaz's next job will be with the paparazzi

After the gathering, the leftovers who didn't want to leave so soon (including myself) got around for an early dinner at the food court at the top floor of the mall. We all traded between us some life stories, bad customer service and other extra yapping.

I ordered a lasagne because I was tempted but Elena told me I could have gotten a better one back at Starbucks at a lower price. Oh damn, I didn't know. Well, can't waste a good RM10. When the rest of the crew caught up, Shaz saw what I was eating and commented about the better, cheaper one back at Starbucks. Now at this point, I must have sucker written on my forehead.

I was the first to leave the extra-time gathering, since my mom issued an ultimatum through SMS and 2 phone calls. After saying goodbye to all the guys (keep up with the debugging, Albert!) I left the same way I came, though now with more traffic on the road. And don't worry, I'll sent the pics if you're interested.

Signed: Ophie, who found the perfect spot for her tumbler

A place before the stomach. It's always full...
